I have recently retired and acknowledge that I signed up here because I need to start disposing of my knife collection. The new place is small and it just doesn't make sense to have these knives all wrapped up and in boxes on a shelf.
So, I have a bunch of problems, like, I don't know how much most of them are worth. I thought of putting them up on an auction site but thought that the folks here would probably appreciate them more.
So, here goes the first one, a Hibben Kenpo Karate blade that I bought from Gil at the Solvang show 7-8 years ago. As I said I don't have any idea what they are going for so I went to his page and since it looks almost identical to the Rambo III knife that he's asking $1,750 for I figure it should be worth close to that. Since you guys aren't going to pay "retail" I thought that I'd start it at $1,100 just to see what happens. PRICE REDUCED TO $550. If that's way out of line PLEASE let me know in a PM or e-mail as I'm willing to lower the price. I know that the highest price ever mentioned in a sale is the sellers first price so gut feel tells me to price it about where I did.
Anyway, the knife has been sitting in a display case for years. The brass is slightly tarnished but I figured that it was better to let it tarnish than to fool with it. Other than that I believe that it's in perfect condition.
