Hibbens IV?

I bought one for a friend when they went on sale at knifecenter.com. They are huge and very heavy >3lb, more of a novelty than a user IMO. However my friend is a bigger guy so he doesn't notice the weight that much, I've been on a couple overnight trips with him since then and he used it to split some of our firewood and take down a ridge pole for the shelters in just a few chops. The IV is a monster.

I sent 2 to justin of ranger knives

Both got G-10 handles and edges re-profiled

Much better now

VERY HEAVY--------BUT WILL NEVER BREAK..

If you like that pattern, you might want to keep your eye out for a French "Annamite" pattern machete/bolo. These are more commonly known as a French "Senegalese" or "coupe-coupe" machete. Many were surplused out and show up frequently and are very cheap in price. Very heavy also.
