Roger, If your asking about the finish on the head I daub on Cold Blue paste with a sheep wool dauber. The same thing you would get for applying leather dye. Let the Cold Blue dry and then soak the head in bleach. The bleach works better if it is warmed up. You leave the head in the bleach till the surface turns brown. I'll dunk it in water and wipe away the residue. Normally I'll go back into the bleach and do a repeat on the soak. It will be real dark after you wipe it off the second time. I steel wooled this head real good and then I went over the whole thing real lightly with 2000 grit paper. I prefer this finish over mustard.
