Hello and welcome,

For your consideration today my latest knife.

Steel: Atkins "silver steel" file
guard and spacers: 316 stainless with copper
handle: Black walnut (coated several times with my home pressed walnut oil)
Blade: ~3 inch "usable edge" as defined by my state laws (3 and 1/4 from guard to tip)
handle: ~5 inch
Overall length:8 1/2 inches

This was a very fun and difficult build but I am quite pleased with the result. My goal was to have a full size sculpted handle on a legally concealable knife. This knife is perfect for those of you with big hands who are looking for a fighting knife that is legally concealable but don't want to give up handle size and shape.
This one is without a sheath.

Asking $100 plus $7 shipping

As you can see I left the original atkins stamps

The balance point is right where you want it on a small fighter like this.

How far into the handle does the tang extend? Wish it had a sheath too! I absolutely love the design and concept. A near perfect edc. keepem sharp

So in Nevada you cannot carry a knife with a blade longer than 3.25"? That surprises me though it probably shouldn't. Very nice knife that's bound to stay in the hand till the bitter end.

Thanks!
It should be 1 - 1 1/2 inches past the pin. yeah i couldnt think of a good way to give this a kydex sheath and i think it deserves a leather sheath. I just dont have any leather or tooling yet. Always something else to buy lol

In Nevada the ricasso isn't supposed to be measure its supposed to be "usable edge length" Im actually only allowed 3 inches. I should clarify thats is if the knife isn't "readily apparent" (concealed)
aren't most states 3 1/2 inches??

Do other states mesure edge length or tip to handle?
Ive been thinking of drawing up a knife that has an extended ricasso for carry but thats shaky grounds when your in court lol

Visible sheath carry is 10", blade not including handle, here in Nebraska. Individual cities/counties are determining what length folder blades are. 3.5 is what I understand to be in pocket, but if a belt sheath was used, probably longer.
Thanks, Neal
