I would like to replace a knife handle off a Buck knife. The knife is 10" overall length, with a 4" tang. I would like to use one piece of antler, without the tang coming out the end.
1. My question is how long is the tang in relations to the blade?
2. Without cutting the handle in half, how is it hollowed out.
3. If a drill is used to start the hole then finished with a file, where could you get drills in the 6" Class, I have checked the local stores, and they don't know.
4. Once the hole is done, is there only epoxy holding the tang in??
Thanks to anyone who can help.
