Hideously Large Logos

I kinda like the model name on a knife.

It helps to identify it, for one.

"Gee, that's a nice knife. What model is it?"

"Spyderco."

And ... "what model" is never known unless you're lucky the owner actually bought it and noted it. The search is on and usually never ends.

The lettering isn't lightly etched onto the blade: it's laser engraved. Removing it by hand with the even the roughest sandpaper available took many hours. A belt grinder is really the only way to go.
Yep ... that was my experience. And ... as somebody else said, you can't just do part of the blade if you want it to look right. Not worth the effort IMHO.
