HigashiDo Blades Bushmaster
This Blade is Brand New. Never used, carried, or resharpened.
This massive blade is 13 3/4" overall, having a 7" cutting edge, a 5 7/8" grip and a 1" scraper pommel. The overall height is 2". With a finished thickness of .357" This Blade is Completely Hand Forged From 3/8" 5160 steel and hardened to 60-61rc. The blade is a hybrid of a drop point recurve. The pommel itself can be used as a scraping tool, chisel, joint splitter in game dressing, or as a very efficient striking tool.
Hand Made and Hand Forged, no two blades are 100% alike. "Satin" Polished, NOT "Mirror" Polished. Pommels unpolished with all forge marks. Double Forced Patina to aid in corrosion resistance.
Scales of Buffed Black Micarta for a smooth non abrasive finish. Red Liners are added and epoxied to the Full .357" Tang and to the Micarta. The Micarta is then additionally fixed by FOUR 3/8" Hollow Stainless Steel Pins.
Sheathes are completely hand formed, cut, stitched, and dyed here in the USA. Compare to some of the other sheaths which come with other quality blades. In addition, this sheath system includes a removable "Tin" pouch, with a firesteel loop.
