• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

With all this snow, I got a day off from school and some extra time. So with it I stripped and etched my FT hawk in ferric acid today (I owe you guys some pix once I'm done dolling it up) and I got to see the 1095 core in this bad boy. Dana's stuff is made of 1020 mild steel with a 1095 bit sandwhiched between the 1020. When the steel is etched, the higher carbon stuff takes on a darker oxide coloring because of the carbon in it. Anyways, I thought it was pretty cool so I took pics  Enjoy!
