Ok I am looking for a high end / mid tech or possibly custom fixed blade
A company that is comparable to busse
I would buy a busse but the only stile knife they have that I like it the TGLB and that was discontinued.
Also looking for the warranty that comes with it , it will be a user / beater so a warranty is a must
Looking to spend 300 to 600 on it maby a bit more if it is a great looking knife
Thanks any suggestions

You can still find the TGLB on the exchange at reasonable prices. I bought one there a year or so ago and am very pleased.

I'd haunt the KnifeMaker's Market here on BF. There are lots of great custom makers who probably offer a style similar to the Busse or would make just as you want and better than you can expect. JK and JA Baker - just to name a few

AND/OR Check out the Custom & Handmade Knives forum to see what some of the makers are up to. Then send the ones you like a PM or e-mail. Lots of great values and high craft knives here on BF.

Look at Blackheart Knives, I have a Gunner 10 and its pretty damn awesome. Check his IG - @blackheartknives

Fallkniven makes excellent knives. The NL 1 & 2, SK 6, V1, A1 & 2. They also have new, redesigned pro series in A1, S1 style with a lifetime warranty. I currently use a V1-Volcano in lam CoS steel and love it. NEW pro series uses same steel. Beautiful, functional, production knives that are custom quality.

There are some great knives made now but if you really do think the Busse knife is what you want than ultimately I think you should get the knife you want. It will save you from buying two knives eventually because even though what second choice you make might be a great knife that you like the feeling of wanting that Busse will linger. In the end you pay less even if you pay more initially if you are like the majority of us Blade Forum types.

If you are a Busse fan, seems like the biggest obstacle to buying one is the price and that's not a problem with your budget. The second biggest obstacle might be availability, maybe you should be looking into that.

OTOH, eventhough some of the Busse designs look pretty good to me, if looks is your criteria you should be looking into having a custom knife made to your specifications.

I think getting the sr-101 tglb is probably the best idea. It's going to be cheaper than the infi version so you get to see if you like it or not first before you commit (you can sell the old one on the exchange later). I have a tg and I have no regrets :)

Experiment. Get the knife with the steel that you like, in your price range, and go from there.
