High end folding tactical knife companies

I already have many spyderco's, EKI, one Lonewolf, one Cold Steel, and ZT's

I'm mostly drawn to folding tactical knives. What other companies have I forgotten in the above list that offer good value in tactical folding knives ?

Thanks

Strider, Al Mar, CRK (or not tactical for you?), R. Hinderer (but that's more hard use, not tactical). What do you mean by tactical, though? Are you out stabbing people, surviving by only knife?

whether the value is good can be debated, but the brand Rockstead sure is high end.

No not at all, I live in a relatively quite neighborhood, so I'm basically drawn by the tactical look of some knives, much like people drawn to sports car.

Isn't Kershaw believed to be high end by many here--just asking. Or perhaps I'm mistaken high end and best bang for one's buck.

Alas.. I am drawn to sports cars because I have this nasty addiction to speed...

Therefore, I can logically infer, you must love using your knife in a tactical manner?

Just giving you a hard time, when I first started liking knives I was the same way... these days I've come to prefer less spooky looking blades.. tastes change right?

Check out the Striders, and maybe the combative edge m1? (i did a review HERE, might be able to get you a special price if you PM/email me)

LOL, yeah I must admit I do. You really cracked me up with your response--good one there !:D Your logic is sound. That being said, I haven't stabbed anyone and probably never will.

Don't know if they're considered high end, but Emerson and Extrema Ratio are definitely tactical.

Forgot to add the HK line of Benchmades.

How about an Umnumzaan? more tactical than a sebenza... but def. higher end... could always go for a custom or semi-custom.. like a DDR Gunhammer, or RJ Martin Overkill.

Edited original post to include a link to my review of the M1 too

What's your definition of "tactical" though? To some it means one thing, others it means something else. I love tacs but I love my latest knife, a Cold Steel American Lawman. Easily stands next to any EKI, Axis-equipped knife, or Spyderco knife I've owned.

Check out Mike Snody's subforum on this site. All of his stuff is tactical, and very high end.

My definition of tactical is is knife with self defense in mind, but that can also do other more mundane things--obviously, we do not need knives for self-defense 99% of the time, but just in case I like having an extra security on my person in parts of town that are more risky and for day to day living as well.

CS isn't bad from what I can see. People seem to be satisfied with their CS products overall.

That looks nice, but I wonder if his creations are available in Canada ?

He is a custom knife maker, so there isn't nearly as much of his stuff floating around as say, Spyderco knives. But if you buy a custom directly from him I'm sure he'll be happy to ship it to you across the border. Call him up and ask him. He gives out his number freely on the Snody board.

Don't forget about Benchmades Bradley Alias. A super strong frame lock that is also available with a custom Devon Thomas Damascus blade .

Microtech, MOD, MercWorx, Crusader Forge are the ones not yet mentioned.

To be honest, I really hate Emerson for their tactical folder hype. And the worst thing about Emerson is that they most likely live up to their promises. My experience with them is pretty limited. The CQC-10 is my primary EDC and the only Emerson I owned. Fast, smooth, great ergoes in any grip. Blade is functional in any grip (this is the most important thing in a tactical knife be it folder or fixed blade).

The most obvious omission from your list is Benchmade. Any reason you don't have any?

I simply forgot to bring up BM. I have two of them, a nitrous stryker and a Mc Henry and Williams. Though I like some BM, I'm generally not drawn to their designs.

I have 9 of them EKI knives.
