New closeup photos added 2/26

These are some extra nice sets of bookmatched, High Grade Maple Burl. These scales were cut from a large maple burl I purchased from a veneer mill owner a few years ago. The wood will look a lot better in real life. This is some of the really good stuff.
These are all priced the same, $20 a set, or $15 a set when you get 4 or more sets.

Please read this.
These are natural scales. They have not been stabilized. These scales were cut from wood stored in an unheated shop, so you should probably give them at least a week to acclimate before using. When you fine sand and finish these scales the figure and grain will become much more defined than what you see in these photos.

When you see scales you like just post; "I'll take set #s ......" and I will mark them sold for you. US shipping via Priority Mail is $5 total for up to 3 sets or $10 for 4 or more. Canada is $10 up to 3 or $25 for 4 or more. Our address for Paypal is itsaburl@hotmail.com.

Bro', you should slice them thicker. By the time you get done stabilizing them, they're going to look like potato chips. (warp). I like them to be 7/16 - 1/2" thick before I stabilize them, so that I can sand straight any warps, and still have them come out to be around 3/8 thick.
Just my 2 cents.

These were cut at 3/8" then sanded out bandsaw marks making them just a hair under 3/8". The wood is plenty hard and good to use without stabilizing. I know some of you guys stabilize everything. This is good durable wood for those who want something they can use right now without the need to send it out to be stabilized.

I actually thought these would all be gone by now.
I know you guys know good wood so it must be my photos. Here are some closeups.
I have gone back and re-photographed each set of scales individually so you can see exactly what you are getting. These have only been sanded to 120 grit. The grain and figure will become much more defined when you sand these finer and finish.
