High Grade Quilted Redwood Scales

These scales show some of the higher grade quilted Redwood. You don't find Redwood like this very often. This is natural Redwood. It has not been stabilized. This was cut from an area low on the trunk with a higher oil content so they are harder and heavier than normal Redwood. There may be a couple super fine hairline checks near the edges. An easy fix with a little CA glue if any fall within your handle area. Photos show the wood dampened so you can get an idea how they will look finished.

The figure on these scales is very chatoyant and seems to move around beneath the surface of the wood. More like a gemstone than wood. This is some of the really, really good stuff.

This is some of the really good quilted redwood. If you are thinking about getting a set, don't wait. I cut a lot of redwood but you don't find this quality very often. Most people never see redwood like this.

I figured I better give an explanation for the closing of this thread.
The forum has made some changes, or clarifications in their sellers policy for the forum. To the best of my understanding this makes me a dealer. Since I offer the knife handle wood as a sideline from my day job and do this at my own expense. I will have to wait until I can afford to pay for the upgrade to dealer status before I can resume offering wood for sale through the forum.
