Any recommendation for high heat gloves for use in heat treating? I'd been using a pair of welding gloves but they don't do well at all with stainless heats.

Thanks for any and all replies.

I have a pair of thick asbestos foundry gloves on the wall ( sealed in a plastic bag). They are the only gloves really made to resist high heat. Kevlar and other HT gloves are good for somewhat hot things handled briefly. The thing to use to grip things like stainless steel out of the oven are tongs and pliers.

Thank you Stacy, I do utilize a pair of 18" tongs to remove the blades but after a few, the gloves absorb a bit of heat and I end up with what looks like a sunburn on the my knuckles.

My buddy swears by Ove' Gloves (sold on TV). He keeps trying to get me to buy a pair, but I like the smell of burnt hair and flesh.:D
