What are high pressure tactics on BF deals? If some guy's being a bunghole, can't you just hang up the phone, delete an email, or whatever, and not worry about arguing with him?

I have been messing in knives as a collector for 30 years.

Run do not walk away from high pressure and or hype and you will be better off. No one owes a jerk an explaination, but I would at least tell the person that I was not interested.

My response to that is, yes you can. If someone were to do those things to me, that is exactly what I would do. The first time someone swore at me on the phone they would get a warning that if they did it again I would hang up. If they did it again I would then hang up. If I received a high pressure, rude email I would email back stating that I would not discuss any kind of deal with someone using those tactics and that if this person did not want to treat me with respect I would set my email to not accept anything from the offending address. If the next email continued in the same way the first one left off I would delete it and block this email address.

There is no need to take any kind of abuse from anyone.

David,

The beauty of electronic communication is that if someone "gets in your face" or attempts to verbally or textually abuse you you can just sever the comm link. :) Don't feel like talking to a telemarketer "sorry I gotta go...click" Problem solved.

My wife likes to listen to their whole pitch and then say, "sorry, my parents won't let me have a credit card."
