High Quality Machetes ?

Don't spend too much on a machete! Get one of those army issue ones from Smokey Mountain Knife Works or a Barteaux & Sons from Home Depot. regrind the edge to a narrower profile, they work great. Kukri's work great but are too heavy for extended use. I agree that using a cheaper machete is better 'cause it won't break your heart when you hit a rock.

Bronco, for a comparison of the RTAK verses the RCM, go to Newt Livesay's website, then go to the forum. Go to the All About Knives part, then you will see on page one the title, RCM verse RTAK or something along those lines.
