High rc steels and performance cutting

Robert, I can do some RC testing for you if you want to look at a few samples. Send me an e mail through my website and we can go from there. Phil

They are great steels, but I'm looking for high performance on a competition level.

.....

Considering cpm m4 as one of my next steels to try.

May I ask a few questions?

What exactly do you mean by "competition level".

Why do you specify high Rc? It would seem that the alloy should dictate to some degree the ideal hardness, and the spectrum of activities involved in "competition" should dictate the needs of the knife. It is QUITE possible that the best alloy for your needs might perform MUCH better at a hardness lower than you think....depending on what is involved with the "competition".
