Just thought I would like to see them as scales on a knife, and yes sir I am a newbee..
Perhaps someone is willing to share a better avenue to get some good looking wood like this for scales. Iam sure you can guess I am only to the point of adding handles to blanks, gotta start somewhere!

Chad, I also stock scales and will also cut blocks in half if requested. I will have some thinner scales for sale in the coming week, but they are often cut oversized to give you some wiggle room in shaping.

WFS: The blocks are used for hidden tang knives, WA (Japanese) traditional handles on kitchen knives and they can be cut into scales.

No sir not worried about anything! There are tons of these guys that are more than willing to help newbie's like us out. I amso new I can't even call my self a newbie, I am really a pre-newbie. Just kind of playing around to see if this is a hobby I may be interested in prior to going all in with high dollar materials and equipment...Chad
