Higonokami Knives

Hi. I know this is a very very old thread, but does anyone know where to get "non-genuine" higos? I already have one made by Mr. Nagao in blue #2 and I absolutely love it. I carry it with me everywhere.
However I want to modify a higo knife, and I respect Mr. Nagao too much to tamper with one of his creations. Which is why I'm looking for a "non-genuine" higonokami. Preferrably within the same price range (preferrably preferrably less ). Can anyone help me?

Ebay. Inexpensive higo knives can be found easily direct from Japan in several sizes, handle and steel configurations.

How can you tell whether it's genuine or not?

higonokami(s) are not a proprietary design of anyone. you can find them everywhere in Japan (and on the internet) made by many artisans and companies.
