TONS of pics, Beware!

My wife and I had the pleasure of getting together with rksoon and Boomstick yesterday, for a very nice if not long dayhike. We took Sunset trail which connected to Skyline to Sea trail to create a loop, with a set of waterfalls at the midway point.
I'm glad rksoon invited us, 'cause we had a blast! I'm sure he and Boomstick will be adding even more pictures to this thread too, so stay tuned.

To bad we didn't see this sign until our way back.

No worries though, it wasn't that strenuous for our group.

Of course there was plenty of steel. From top: Case Texas Jack, Falkniven F1, Rehandled Mora, Fiddleback, Bark River Bravo 1, Knife made by me, RAT Izulu?, A pair of SAKs, and a pink kershaw leek.

Don't litter, the forest is watching.

Those friggin orange bellied newts were hard to photograph! They are either in the water, or head to or from, and when they are going somewhere they don't stop and pose for you. I think rksoon got a good shot of one though.

Alright, on to the trail.

We took a break by the falls, and I got a chance to try out my homemade alcohol stove to make some mountain house. It worked great! Took less time to boil then it did to let it cool down.

And for those of you who are into bridges. We had to cross a couple.

rksoon and Boomstick took a ton more pictures, and probably got some better shot than I did, so stay tuned. Hopefully they'll get to this later, I just had to jump on here before I head to work, or I'll never get them posted.

Great pics buddy, looks like a fantastic hike there !

Seeing the pic of the Trillium made me realise that ours aren't out over here yet ?

Great Pics! Big Basin is looking great this time of year. I love that place.
That is one of the best State Parks in the area.
You know you can camp up top above the trail that goes down the falls.

Looks like an awesome trail - those waterfalls are absolutely beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys, but stay tuned for the other guys' pics.

Mike, you do this all the time? My legs are totally shot from this hike, but then again, I am pretty out of shape. rksoon was putting us to shame though, poor guy had to keep stopping to wait for us...

Jwilliams, no not too cold. High of 50F but when you are walking with a backpack on, I was down to my base layer in an hour.
