Me and the family took a trip over to the mainland and decided to go for a hike up Shannon Falls.

Here is me and Mrs pit near the bottom....

And with pit Jr.....

The hike was very steep and rough going but was really enjoyable as you are following the falls all the way up.....

Great spot, pitdog. So many people blast by on the way to Whistler without even stopping. But that's a good thing, no ?:D

That last pic is a good one allright ! it really look beautiful there !!!

Its been a few years since I have been there, it sure is a nice place. Thanks for the pics.

Stunning, as always.

I am seriously considering moving to the west coast at some point. All of my best wilderness photos and experiences come from BC, and pitdog's regular posts with beautiful hiking pics only add fuel to the fire.

Thanks for sharing,

- Mike

shoulda climbed up to the third peak on the chief, now thats a work out. :)

although personally i think the views are nicer from the second peak :o

I belive the Chief is the trail we were on however we didn't go right to the top, I wanted to but was out voted by Mrs pit and pit Jr, Maisy said she couldn't care either way !!!!:D

What kind of pack are you carrying these days pitdog? I think the last time I saw pics of your gear like that, you were using a maxpedition fanny pack.

Just curious,
Brian

Sorry it's taken me a while to reply , it said the server was busy !

Yeah I still use my Maxpedition Proteus whenever I hike alone, still love it, great piece of kit.
In the pics I am using my Berghaus Freeflow 3, as I needed a little more room due to carrying spare tops for the family + extra fluids.
If I can avoid using a backpack I will as even an advanced back system such as on my Berghaus makes you sweat more than using a waist pack !!!
