Hike with Carol and Zeus....3-13-10

Awesome photos Bill, looks like a great day! Really hard to beat a day in some beautiful woods with some great steel, a pretty woman, and man's best friend! Throw in a good meal cooked over an open fire and it's a day in paradice!

I AGREE!!!!

Your going to need a saddle for that dog pretty soon!

Also  for keeping him on a leash on marked trails. He may be super gentle, but stangers don't know that and could freak out running into a "guard dog" breed on the trail, maybe even over react and hurt him.

Hurt him??--You mean someone is going to shoot him??

I'm sure you mean well but he is VERY well trained..on and off leash.(as in he knows 28 separate commands).

You will notice on the first 2 photos he has a leash on--but that's to calm down the sheeple and hippies---I take it off as soon as they are out of sight

He is not super gentle-but very protective and VERY WELL trained.

2 forum members know Zeus very well...and will tell you I do not need a leash with him,and that he will attack when INSTRUCTED to--not when he feels like it.

The only thing I'm ever worried about it him finding is a Rattlesnake..

Nice shot of the Beaver. I was out fishing a couple of weeks ago, and a beaver swam near me, then slapped his tail and dove. Wish I had a camera.
Beautiful day...

A Beaver!
Geez,I was looking and looking and thinking
what kind of turtle that was (thought the tail was the turtles head)

I better see the optometrist

Hmmm Zeus on the trail,Dr Bill on the trail. I think I'd worry more about Dr Bill, unless of course He was smiling

I definitely meant nothing negative or offensive. Only concerned that some idiot could over react and hurt him. My point is that you can't rely on someone else to be sensible and not over react in that split second that he runs ahead of you around a corner while not on a leash. He's a big visually intimidating dog and they don't know him from Cujo...

I took no offense Bro:D

Zeus does not run out ahead where I can't see him--and when he see's anything he stops and alerts me to it.

I understand and agree with what you said about idiots on the trail...

and flnder
