I posted last week about getting the Project W from Ray to use as a knife to attach to my pack strap. It worked great. I used two little velcro straps to attach it, here's a crappy pic.

I got out this week to play. Found a new trail which was cool.

Found a great patch of cottonwood and mulefat

So I cut a few pieces to take home to dry

The little Laconico is a brute! I was prying apart this wood like nothing.

I brought the HWK too, but I already know that it rocks. I wanted to really test the Project W

This knife is just what I was wanting. Something to handle all the little cutting chores on the trail, but that can also take a beating. Bottom line is Ray's knives rock.

I wish people would stop posting pics of the Project W!!!!

Seriously, what a great looking blade! I know it has to cut great also, knowing what the HWK can do.

Nice looking trail T!

It's definitely a cutter. With the wide blade, and the high flat grind, it zips through everything. Even being 3/16ths!

Hey that's cool! I'm happy to see you using your knives:thumbup:. You did a great job with the cord wrap. Does the kydex hold the knife okay upside down? Just make sure it snaps when you put it in. I remember putting it in the sheath and it seemed like it was in but unless it snaps, it's probably not holding as well as it should. Thanks for posting the pics:D

Looks like a great knife(vs) and a great day. Thanks for the pics, I enjoyed them!

I've been carrying the small Laconico Nessmuk I got in a trade on my hikes and it's great. A real go to knife that I slip in my back pocket. Cleared small brush branches from a riverside spot, carved some walking sticks, all kinds of stuff. I think I'll be getting another Laconico in the near future and that W looks nice.

I agree w/ tonym....

:D

Makes me really want one! That knife is VERY nice! Thanks for the pix and congrats!

Thanks guys. Yeah Ray, it holds the knife in great. I can feel it snap in so I know it's seated in there, don't wanna drop this one on the trail! I was also happy with how comfortable the handle is for being skeletonized.

To the esteemed gentlemen AND Tony (just teasing, bro :D), who want one of these knives, don't hesitate to order one. I have one too and carry it around all the time, even in the pocket of my work pants. Tough little brute that maintains it's edge forever!!

Great pics, T!

I just started on two more of these for orders yesterday. I'm giving it a very slightly narrower blade and longer handle. I thought it would be an improvement. I didn't really intend this to be a necker as it's just too big IMO!:).

Yeah you'd have to have a pretty solid neck to carry it that way :) Actually, the weight really isn't bad at all for how stout it is. I didn't really notice it at all on my pack strap.

I can't wait to see those.

I said it was necker but after your comment, I took a closer look and it does look big (over 7 inches I think) and I forget it was 3/16th.
