At last I remembered to bring my camera on a hike! But guess what... I forgot the memory card. All the pics are taken with the camera on my iPhone and processed in Picasa afterwards, so please excuse the shitty quality. Next time I'll bring my memory card along with the camera.

Took the wife and kids (3 & 8 years old) on a small hike near where we live today. This is Blindevann in Vestfold county, Norway. It's a 4km. hike all on trails and cross-contry skiing tracks, and without any backbreaking hills to cross. Temp. was around 18 celcius today with no wind, so this was a pleasant experience...

Looking for trolls under the bridge...

Fun by the water. Drinkable too, water from Blindevann comes out of our tap!

I didn't know that elg [moose] came in different colors in Norway .LOL !

You are fortunate to live in such a beautiful place as Norway. Great looking family, too. Lucky man.

I really like the photo with the water in the foreground and the trees reflecting off of that.

Thanks Bryan. I really like the pskk ii a lot. It's a nice design and very lightweight. Certainly ranks in the top-3 of the knives I have! This was its first hike and it performed great on both food and wood :)

It's not the dump it's the tracks. There seems to be a one-legged ostrich swinging a huge pecker, and it's coming straight at me.

I've never been to Norway but hear its a great place to hike. I understand that landowners have to let hikers roam/cross their rural property. Is that just the custom of the people, the law, or have I been mis-informed?

Cool pictures - funny how Norway looks a lot like Canada :)

I think your damn was just debris from the last flood - that would be my guess. Looks like a great family day. Keep those trip shots coming!

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Unfortunately it's the closest I'll ever get to Norway. Pity! :(

Great pics, especially the the water and forest one. Your phone takes some pretty good pictures as well.

Nice looking terrain, Flanker! I got to get to the woods next weekend... btw, Ive visited Norway a couple of times, once I even walked across the Teno-river in Lapland, lovely country, and great people! :)

I think in Norway there are similar kinds of everyman's rights than in Finland. One can freely hike and camp around, pick berries and mushrooms etc, no matter who owns the land. One cannot, however, cross someones yard or a sown field, make an open fire, cut or harm trees, hunt without a permission, or stuff like that.

It's a law here, and the explenation given by attej is pretty accurate. This law also allows you to camp pretty much anywhere you'd like. There are some restrictions near drinking water, and you can't camp closer than 150m from an inhabited house. Other than that, pick a spot :)

Thanks for all your kind replies, guys...

jontok: That's right :) Nice to see that the Norwegian population on Bladeforums is growing.
