Took Zeus on a little hike at a State Park 25 miles from my house

Great Day for it--80 Degrees and a slight Breeze

Took Along a Cold Steel SRK and a Bill Siegle Bushcraft

The Pain??

On the way back to the car I was chopping a branch that was on the trail--when I felt a sting on my face.

I look up and see a Bee's Nest about the size of my fist--on the end of the branch I was chopping.

Needless to say--I stopped chopping and backed away---FAST.

Still a good time...

Ouch, I hate bee stings. Good thing you got out of there quick. What are the specs on the Siegle bushy? I like that one.
 
dont forget about some realy good eating.. I see alot of cactus pair fruits.. If you know how to clean them they would make some great snack on a hot day.. You got a pretty pup there... I need to post a few pics of my dad new pup she loves to go hiking with me

Great time of the year in Texas (except the ragweed). Yep, thats a fine looking dog. Looks well cared for.

Nice pics Bill, and nice blades. I can just hear Zeus thinking damn dude...you gotta get better at checking out those limbs before you start choppin' on 'em :)

somewhat like the terrain around me, yet different.

i'm not sure what that blue stuff is on the ground. flat, yet irregular surface. very strange. anyone know?

I took the wife there Today--and showed her the Nest(WASPS)
