Hiker Found (Dead)

That guys blog made me raise my eyebrows. You'd think an ex-spec ops soldier would bring the right things for a outing like this. Like the correct clothes, extra batts/lights, ice axe, and making sure the rest of his outfit was kitted out properly too.

probably is three times as many ex-spec ops guys on the internet as ever served in the last twenty years

if I did something that dumb (and risked two other folks lives and potentially numerous SAR folks as well)- I sure as heck wouldn't be bragging/blogging about it

wow, so sad indeed.. she was hardcore to say the least, I've been to Baldy many times but nothing extreme like that, mountains will kill you quick!!

Be careful out there guys/gals..

just a blink of an eye...............

This is all very tragic. My cuz works for SAR out of San Fran and called me yesterday regarding the weather conditions as i live relatively close to Mt. Baldy. Apparently they were going to send a team down to help with the search as well.
After a 2,100 ft drop and with the conditions the way they were over the weekend its amazing that screams were even heard! She must have been a tough lady.
My thoughts and prayers go out the the family.
