How long have you lived there, Bubba? Because it seems like something heinous involving Wainwright soldiers happens every few years. And we here in A-town just don't have the same issues with Ft. Rich guys. I had to chase some out of my yard when a party got out of hand last spring, but for the most part they behave.

Sorry to say that I know the shooter in this case as a "work contact". His little brother will also now be sharing a cell with him apparently, as a result of completely unrelated charges.
 
The shooter there is another POS. His name does not seem local, any idea what ethnic group he is, possibly Vietnamese?

Another soldier was recently shot down outside a bar in Clear. I think a big part of the statistics in Fairbanks is you have a much larger proportion of Active and Ex Military compared to Anchorage so crime statistics are going to reflect that. Most of the people I know are ex military, most did a volunteer tour and got out, many got out in Alaska after being stationed at Wainwright.


There is no more news of this guy yet, were all at "Wait and See" for now. I have been doing some checking and asking around but I'm outside.
 
Ethnicity is Thai, parents are good people. As is the case with a lot of these immigrant Asian gangs, the kids learn English and are much more quickly exposed to the culture, then they end up manipulating the parents.
