hiking boots

You literally have to go to a outdoor store and try them all on to see which is best for you. They are all equally good but fit each person differently.

Vasque, Asolo, Lowa, Scarpa, La Sportiva, etc.... There are a few other brands but I can't remember them right now.

Vasque's are my favorite but I would never tell someone else to buy them without trying them on, along with a few other brands, first. Lowa's and Scarpa's are great boots but they don't fit my feet well at all.

Don't forget to take the socks that you will be wearing on your trip with you when your trying all of the boots on.

Danners have been the best footwear I've ever owned, with Redwings a close second.

But you gots to try them on. No point in owning the finest if it doesn't fit.

Have a look at Zamberlan.I have the Vios GT and they are bar none the best footwear I've ever owned. It took some shakedown time to break them in but now oh baby are they comfortable.

I've had good luck with Asolos and a couple other brands but, as noted above, individual fit is key.
