The Natural bolster was the selling point to me, but the knife is pretty much flawless

Thanks Mac! The F2 is 3/32 O1. I got the bolstered sapphire Hiking Buddy as a set with a matching Bushfinger.

I looked through a quick search and didnt find an official 'Hiking Buddy' picture thread and seeing how I've just counted up what I currently have by way of Hiking Buddys - which is apparently my 2nd favorite model of Fiddleback - thought I'd start a picture thread for this beloved model.

Hmmmm I had a hiking buddy, and turned out I didnt like the blade geometry and sold it. It was shaped more like the desert ironwood scaled one of buds. Extremely spear pointed. After looking at the other models bud has, I like the ones with the belly. Has the HB changed over time?

IMO, no two are exactly alike.
