I chose it due to multi fuel capability and durability.

MSR makes great stoves, the only issue is the pump assembly...they are the weak link. I must add that my XGK stove's pump is still working fine despite a small crack. I do have spare pump and the biggest advantage about MSR is the availablity of spare parts. The best pump assembly is from Optimus...very well constructed. Good to know that the new XGK is still made like a mini-tank:thumbup:

I have a Optimus Nova, my brother a Nova Plus...

I have an Brunton version of the Optimus Crux, and my brother a Brunton Raptor.

My Crux beats the Brunton Raptor and Brunton Talon hands down. I love it.

My buddy has a MSR Reactor, and it boils well...


You can't really go too wrong with the major brands...
