I revamped my Maxpedition bottle holder from a year or so back... This is my grab & go set up for piddling in the woods.:D

Great looking setup  The only thing I think I would add to that kit is maybe some sealed food packets from an MRE, like the raisins or the desert. :D Of course I haven't eaten breakfast yet so that may be why I'm thinking of food.

the add on pouch with FAK(holding pencil, sharpie, compass & insect spray in cargo net) has room for 2 bars if needed...

:D it looks like you have all the bases covered, food, water, tools to make a shelter, firestarters, first aid, and lights. The only think I can think to add, and I've been staring at this for a good 10 minutes in sheer amazement, is a small soduku or crosswork book.

Thats a really awesome idea to use the bottle holder as the hub of a minimalist pack like that. Is that the small or the large bottle holder?

it is the 10x4 bottle holder with other maxpedition items, except for the FAK holder...I would suggest the12x5 version tad more room

How do you like the one hand opening SAK models? Any real difference than the original SAKs? That design reminds me almost of the Blade-Tech & Spyderco models. Nice Gear Tony.

Love your kit. Good job.
The 12X5 Bottle Holder has been discontinued by Maxpedition.:grumpy:
Beatle Rat pack #107

I have the blade tech's (& Love 'em).... I really like it on the SAK... I have a pair ,one pictured with Dayglow scales and one with Black scales... Kinda heavy for pocket carry IMO but great sheath/belt folder. :D

Sweet set up. I was just looking and those the other day when I was going to buy some Maxpedition stuff. I just wasn't sure how much I could fit into them.

I still have room to add the rolly polly to it which I am still considering... I think I am sitting at about 2-2.5 lbs. w/o water in the bottle.

Very nice, you make it? Carry a mini bic everyday and there are more in every bag and drawer in the house.

Tony is the king of PSKs around here. I always like to see what he comes up with next.

Jeff,

Tony does give good PSK. :D

Tony,

What make and model of pouch is this? The one more like a clamshell with pen pockets, etc.
