Hiking Socks?

Love Smartwool socks, will never go back to cotton socks. I have to try the liner under them...

I used to think that wool would be too hot to wear for summer hiking and would wear cotton instead, but wool is a much better sock material than cotton any day.

I have tried liners, but many times the liners get twisted or other wise uneven, so I have stopped wearing them.

Everyone has a different way of protecting their feet, but two thin wool socks on each foot works for me.

DARN TOUGH.

LIFE TIME WARRANTY.

MADE IN AMERICA.
ENOUGH SAID.
I tried smartwool, and they were OK, but the Darn Toughs destroy them.

Thats the truth... For all those that like the Smartwool brand...you should all try a pair of Darn Toughs. They really blow the Smartwools out of the water.

I wear the REI Light Hiker merino socks. They really are cool in summer and wrm in winter. Great price, too.

I always carry Falke socks. During my hiking through Norway this summer, I did wear Falke TK2 Cool socks. The fit my feet very well and keep them dry.

i have to +all on the wool socks....i never hike without them.

also remember on long hikes your feet swell...adjust accordingly.

I wear WrightSock double layer hiking socks. They have a liner attached, wick, don't stink, stay warm when wet, all that.

I actually forded a river & hiked up 1400' in wet boots with a brand new pair of these & absolutely no blisters or foot problems whatever. After that I bought 6 more pairs of them.

costco sells 4 packs of 70% merino wool blend outdoor socks for 12$ or so. great work and play socks at the price of one pair of "name brand".

I use these, too, and they are great socks. I also use some from Thorlos.

I used to use polyester liners under cotton, but these merino socks are so much better.
