btw, are you sure that was a wild raspberry? or did it taste like cheese?
there's a funny berry that is ripe about now, that LOOKS like raspberry but tastes ... odd. acquired taste.
I don't know anything about plants growing in Utah, but if it was growing around here, I would say it's Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus) or possibly Purple-flowering Raspberry (Rubus odoratus). What colour were the flowers, if you saw them earlier?
Doc
Cool pics. What sort of pack is your daughter sporting?
Got some Camelbak Mini-Mules for my children, and they love 'em.
Here is a pic from the Roof of my house, these are the mountains I play in

Lucky bastard, I wake up to flat land and corn fields.
Nice pics though, looks like a neat area to hike.
It some kind of knock-off camelbak, works okay but I'm thinking once I get some cash I will pick her up the Scout.

Same here. Corn and beans for miles.
I don't think I could handle that....
Cool pics. You're lucky to have a nice place like that to hike around in so close to your home. Did you really name your dog "Becker?" Please don't tell us you named your daughter "Ethana!"![]()
