I recently owon an auction for a hand signed BM850S. I asked the seller if it was NIB, his answer was yes.

This past weekend I received the knife, however with a little twist. NIB took a new meaning. Instead of "New in the box" it was "New in the baggy". It came mint condition but inside a ziplock baggy

No big deal, I called Benchmade and they were happy to send me a replacement box, manual and wrapper.

Just though that was kinda funny.

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

One must be careful how they say things. I had listed a brand new REKAT Fang as NIB (new in box) then I realized REKAT ships them in a ziplock style baggie, not a box. I clarified that before end of auction. Whew!

I have sent knives I have sold in ziplocks before, though I don't say NIB, I would have just said, "new, no box". It keeps the styrofoam dust out of the knife---for a second Mike, I thought you were gonna say he sent a knock off or something worse.
