Hilt design help

I recently HT'd this sword, I don't ever remember seeing a shape like it so I am looking for some suggestions on how to hilt it up.

Sam I think I have seen some Russian swords/sabers very similar. (Cossack ?) Not much of a guard as I remember wire over leather grip.

I believe that I have seen that blade stile in a Northern India (Tulwar ?) sword as well.

Thanks for the link Mike, interesting swords there. It is close in shape to the Yataghan, but not sure I want to do something along those lines.

Yeah, Yataghan is what I though too. It's a favorite of mine.

I imagine it with a really slight S shape to match the blade.

Looks a lot like French sword/bayonets.
