Hi I bought a Kurkri from a couplr that importafter reading your testing it has me wondering as to who manufactured mine and the quality it is very well made and I lie it very mch but have never put it throughthe course like yourself.

canranger, the blade should be marked by the kami who forged it. Check in over at the HI forum and someone can surely help you find out who it was. Thanks for the compliments as well, I'm glad you found it helpful. :)
 
If he bought it from a couple who imported it, it's not likely to be an HI.

Can you describe it? Lion face on butt of handle or ????
 
Good review..I used my 18 in Ak on 3 "interstate broadleaf" native NC trees;

BOOM!!

Spyderco Triangle sharpmaker...Damn Knife shaves hair off my arm and slices through paper edges...SLISSHHHHH....paper falls

now its froghair sharp...no problem
