I was just curious how many of you go to knive forums just to read the Himalayan Imports forum? I have talked to Bill Martino and he says if the interest where there he would not be opposed to having a forum here as well. I myself have just purchased an 18" WWII model. It is a very nice piece. Amazing in fact when you consider how they are made.

Tom Carey

If Himilayan Imports would like a Manufacturers forum, they are more than welcome to have one here, we don't mind at all.

I've spoken with Bill as well and would very much enjoy some HI representaion here too

I'll contact him in a bit, then, to work out the details of such a forum. If he emails me first, well, so much the better!

We are open to any manufacturer who wishes to have a forum as long as they maintain it and answer questions on a regular basis.

Spark et al:

I'd much rather post to a forum of Bill's here than there and for that matter Chris and Anne Reeve too. I'm not advocating defections as it would only serve to eexacerbate any bad blood that may still exist. I just find this site more convenient overall and more conducive to manufacturer's forums....the more the merrier. I'd sooner see the other grow and mature as a tactics and MadDog site period.

I'll probably be flamed elsewhere for this but I honestly bear no ill will...just think that the natural directions each site is leaning towards is as I've indicated.

Like we said earlier, we'd love to have any and every manufacturer who is willing to participate in the discussion.

Chris Reeve would be a very welcome addition to the manufacturer's forums as his knives are as good as they get from a production standpoint. As anyone on these forums, the Sebenza series of folders can be used as the standard everyone should maintain.

As for bad blood, I personally hold no grudges against anyone, and neither does Mike. We want nothing but the best for everyone in the knife industry, and we are giving every effort to make it a better place.
