Himalayan pen knife-anybody have one?

Is this knife 12" long or is the blade 12"?

I may have caught the bug for this Himalayan knife.
 
I have one and it's one of my favorite HI knifes. It is 12" overall including handle. All HI knives are measured that way.

I recently put it to work on vacation and did everything from splitting some light kindling to flipping pancakes.
Mine came with a horn handle which I found smallish and a tad slippery. I checkered it which cured the slippery but was still kind of minimalist for grip but for it's size it's not a deal breaker by any stretch. It pained me to do it but I wrapped it in paracord for now and it's working very nicely. Good grip, slightly more hand filling.
I someday will probably just replace the handle.
I love the knife, usually have it with me in a small back pack.

I don't think you'd be sorry in the least getting one.

Be forewarned though, these things are habit forming and one will never ever be enough.
You were warned.
 
The knife im pretty sure is 12" over all length. Hang on a few minutes and I know someone who has one and will likely enlighten you. HI measures their products in overall length. Cool knife BTW! I dont have one so I dont have a pic.
 
The pen knife is an amazing creation. You will not be disappointed if you get one, but as Bawanna said these can be very addicting so sorry and welcome at the same time :) Bawanna you should tease him with some pics of yours.

As I've done in the past I neglected to remove the offending photo. It's actually probably ok since that is Mrs. bawanna a few years back. Family photo's can't be offensive right?
 
I finally signed up officially to Gold Member status. thanks Karda for helping me figure that out.

It was actually Karma as well. I used the refund Auntie sent me on my last purchase, her idea not mine, I thought it was perfect, she thought it was a blem but it took care of all but 40 cents of the 25 bucks. NICE.

Not sure if this comes with an 007 movie contract but I'm happy and proud too. Kind of classy. "Gold Member".
 
you should def get some kind of card or like a keychain "Bawanna-Gold Member"-- also yeah, sold on pen knife here ( was already sold on mini AK)

As long as no one makes rude commentary, but most of our friends here are quite mannerful.
 
I'll remove it post haste, with no hurt feelings if there's any doubt in the slightest and try to remember next time (you know there will always be a next time) to move it or change the photo shoot location.
 
lol i dont think it matters that much man ! it was a reference to me complimenting a guys knife and telling him I didnt mean his hands lol, wasnt trying to be creepy () though nobody is when they end up being so.
 
I got an unmounted model by Lacchu kami that a friend mounted in cherry wood and left me to shape the handle as I saw fit. Everyone who's ever seen it falls in love with the idea of one as a camp knife.

It's a great camp knife for sure.

Are you gonna make us beg for a picture of the cherry wood handled Lacchu? Or what?

We all want to fall in love too.

Mine will some day get some sort of wood handle too. Kind of building up my nerve.
 
I can't wait to get my hands on the one I just won on ebay. 12" satisial wood handle by bura :). Going to be fun to try out once I get it
