The others have pretty much told you what you need to know. I'm just going to chime in and report that the HSK has seen TONS of kitchen duty over the last couple of weeks. I love the heft and control of this knife, and I can't wait to take it out for a more "worthy" trip to test it out.

Regarding the handle, how secure is the cord or twine wrap?
I would really like it with wrapped single sheet leather handle. The type that's a single sheet of leather and tightly wrapped by tying it together.
Hard to describe but I'll post a picture to illustrate.
I'm just worried of the current wrap unraveling, I'm not sure I can fix it if it did.
