So there we were… on a camping trip and stopped in a small town in Washington. There was a little sporting goods store that had a knife display. I saw this Hinderer Project X and asked to take a look at it. I talked about Hinderer knives a bit and told him that I had owned a couple in the past. I took a look at the box and saw that the marked price was $225… I asked if that was right and he said “yeah, we order about 4 at a time and they’re slow to move”. Needless to say I instantly grabbed it. I’m pretty stoked in this find.

What a steal!!! That’s over 50% off!

Awesome, always a great time finding a deal like that. I love to hit up pawn shop and antique stores because they are like a grown-up's treasure hunt. You never know what you are going to find. I would have jumped on that too, despite the chewing I would get from my wife immediately afterwards.

Do you have any more photos you can share of the knife, box, COA etc? The scale texturing and the finish on the hardware looks iffy to me. Confirmed Hinderer nut here.

Thanks!
