I'm selling my Monkey Edge Hinderer 3.5" XM18 Sparrow in CPM-3V and Flat Dark Earth coating. This is a sweet knife. The frag scales and blade shape are very cool, but I have my eye on a few others and need to make room. I am the second owner, bought this last month here on the Exchange, and am just looking to get out for what I have into it. The knife was carried and used by the previous owner and he sharpened it to what appears to 20 degrees per side on the WickedEdge. The edge has a nice polish and is very sharp. The detent was pretty stiff when I got the knife but it's broken in nicely. I lubed the pivot with liquid TriFlow and the knife has an excellent, snappy flipping action now. It closes easily with an index finger flip and the centering is right on.
You'll see in the pics that there are some marks on the blade. There are two similar sets of scuffs on each side toward the tip where primary bevel meets the flat. My guess is that the previous owner reset the knife in the WickedEdge near the belly when sharpening and it slipped. There is also a short narrow set of scratches near the sharpened edge on the lock-side. I've shot some of the pics below to show these in their worst light, but you'll notice they don't show in some others. That's pretty much how they appear in real life--visible from some angles and not from others. There are very slight snail trails on the lockbar that I made apparent in a pic below that you have to look for to see in hand. I've carried and used the knife a little myself, but aside from the aforementioned marks it is in excellent condition.
I'm asking SOLD as Sparrows in LNIB condition seem to be selling well above their cost new. Price includes Paypal G&S fees, USPS Priority shipping, and insurance. Sales to CONUS only, and you must be at least 18 years-of-age and know your local knife laws to purchase. Please post "I'll take it" in the thread if you want the knife and follow with an email or PM to confirm. I reserve the right to sell to whom I choose. That's just a thumb-print in front of the horse and a little shmutz near the spine that wiped off.
