Hinderer Blade Stock

Does anyone know if Hinderer will sell blade stock? I broke my blade on my three week old XM-18. Not trying to claim warranty. Ill pay for a new blade. Just curious if they will do this?
 
To my knowledge they will not! With that said, talk to Rob Orlando and see what he can tell you. Shoot me a PM and I will get you all his information!
 
Ok I have to ask...

How did you manage to break the blade on a Hinderer!?!? And would you mind posting a pic?
 
Last half inch of a Wharnny tip lost to a hydraulic sheet metal press. Was using the knife and set it on the sheet, got distracted and there goes my blade. Cut it like hot butter without flinching.
 
That'll do it. Get in touch with Rob. I'm sure they'd want you to send it in to get the blade installed but I wouldn't see any reason they wouldn't do that for you.
 
Interesting way to break a blade. Let us know how it goes. Interested to hear what they say and how much it'll cost.

Whats crazy is how loud it was. No bog in the press, but the sound when it went fhrough the blade made everyone in the shop jump.

That is wild. I snapped a tip on a folder once and I remember being surprised at how loud it was as well.
Good luck getting a blade replacement, life lesson learned.

I spoke to Rob and he said he can do it for $80. Doesn't have a wharnny, but does have spanto, skinner, and bowie, so I choose skinner. Thank you for his info.
 
That is fantastic to hear! Rob is a good guy and great to deal with! Pics when it comes back from the Ranch would be awesome!
 
That's great to hear. Makes me feel even better being a Hinderer owner knowing I'll be taken care of.
