Sad day for me. I thought about this for 2 days before making this decision.

Hinderer Firetac with satin S30V recurved blade. Carbon Fibre insert. This has been carried a couple of times but you can't tell. Like new, still razor sharp. No marks or blemishes. Perfectly smooth, perfect lock-up, easy to unlock, perfectly centered. Opens easily with a thumb flick, yet Rick dialled the detent on this perfectly (as per my request) - it doesn't open unless you want it to. Basically, every damn thing is perfect. I've personally handled 3 firetacs, and this is the best. As you guys already know, Rick stopped taking orders a long time ago, and seems like XM-18s are the main focus for Rick right now.

If you've never handled a firetac before, don't deny yourself the enlightment. It's worlds apart from the XM-18. XM-18 is like a hummer, the firetac is like a ferrari.

I've had this for 4 years but it's time for me to grow up...trying to pool together funds to find a new place to live.

You could consider me to be "kicking the tires" but I'd love to see a couple more pictures... pretty sure I can't afford the Firetac. Free bump.
 
Spyken, I can't afford to buy the knife but I wish for you to have a smooth transition. Hope you'll still be around.
 
sorry, but it took me a lot of effort to get this knife and Rick doesn't take any orders nor has he made the firetac in a long long while.

This is not an auction site and the lowball offers are in pretty poor taste. He is offering a knife in high demand at a more than fair price.

I have been selling Real Estate for many years, the buyer has the right to make any offer he or she feels is what they are willing to pay, the seller does not have to accept.

The Knife is worth what someone will pay, be it $400 or $2000 that is what this site SHOULD be about.

Are you telling us we should just pay what he wants? we can't negotiate.

When I sold my Motorcycle on a forum, I received low offers, but took the one I could live with.
I am sorry if I offended the seller, that was not my intention.
