Do you have Venmo or Zelle? Bladeforums puts the sale on record and allows people to gain feedback/a reputation. If someone does something sketchy, they get removed and can’t sell here again and/or get negative feedback.
As for the actual financial transaction, it is just using Venmo or Zelle to deposit the money in my account in those respective apps. Then I confirmed I received payment, print out your label with insured shipping, send you some pictures of the item before it ships and in the package and then check back in with you once it arrives to make sure you are happy.
Admittedly, there are less protections both ways here, but if you carefully choose who you buy from or sell to, there are no taxes or selling fees, etc. That is the trade-off
