Hinderer Half Track.. who's running one?

I've been looking so long I'm now cross eyed!! But I'll find that bitch!

I picked up my first Half Track a couple of weeks ago, and it has not left my pocket. It is a beast of a knife, fills the hand nicely. It really is great for EDC.

Comparing it to other small knives, I feel it is less fiddly in the hand. I also love the styling of the knife. Quite handsome.

I have handled almost every variation of the half track and they are all great, but I am bias, and love mine. Enjoy the pics.

This knife just popped up on my radar.

Now that there are different blade variations, does anyone have a preference???

The Half Track is an amazing knife. Feels big in the hand and small in the pocket. Most people that think the 3" XM is way too small find the Half Track to their liking. It really defies normal knife physics and is destined to be an all time classic Hinderer design. It's that good.

This is exactly what I was hoping to hear, and why I'm looking at this knife hard right now.

I ran into the exact same thing with the small Inkosi vs. small Sebenza. The Inkosi is smaller, but feels bigger and I much prefer it to the small Seb.

Looks like there is going to be one of these in my future, and probably the near future at that!

I have an XM18, XM25, and MP1. I have a thing for 3.5" knives and larger, but like a few smaller ones too if they'll afford a decent grip in my beat up old carpenter's mitts. The small Sebenza didn't and got sold.

I really didn't think I'd care for the Half Track as my preference in a smaller knife runs along the lines of the ZT0450, Giant Mouse GM3, and Shiro NeOn. Someone sent me one of his to try and I hated to return it. I really got to like the chunky little guy, the way it surprisingly filled my palm, and how it put a lot of knife in a small package.

Before I knew it I had two, though I'm reluctantly selling one to help make up for a recent bout of knife-buying profligacy.

My MP1 was close to my favorite acquisition of 2017, but the Half Track has taken all the Hinderer pocket time since I got my first
