Hello all -

Right now I'm trying to adjust the pivot on my 3.5" XM18, and need a spanner to capture the pivot. I'm aware that Hinderer offers a special tool, but I haven't exactly seen overwhelmingly positive reviews of it - in addition to the price being overkill for its intended application.

Just wondering, those of you that have had success doing so - what did you use?

I want to say that it’s a #14 size spanner (Irwin) for the Xm 3.5. It might need a few strokes of a file to make it fit precisely. I have not used this technique. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Somebody here used a #14 Irwin brand spammer but. I think it’s burried somewhere in the hinderer thread.

Edit: I took a screenshot of it a while back. I looked through my photos and confirmed it is a #14

Using a large flat head screwdriver works just fine
