Hinderer recommendations

I’m thinking of trying my first 3.5” XM18. I think I would prefer the non flipper variant. I’ve never been much of a flipper guy. I’ve also been a non bearing type of person. What do you guys think of the Hinderer bearings? What blade styles are there nowadays?

If you guys could please post pics of what you got with model descriptions, blade variants, etc.. Thanks for helping a guy spend some money, lol.
 
If you plan on using it to cut stuff, get a skinny model. The bearings are decent, skiffs are better, nothing wrong with popping the washers in instead- they won’t clog with grime during use. The slicer grind skinny is the way to go.. you’ll still need to sharpen it out of the box though.

Honestly, the ZT Hinderer’s cut better out of the box and cost a little less. ZT 20CV has been reliable in my experience..

Anyone have any information or know what choil-less blade styles were made and for which models... I know there are a lot of blade styles from RH, but specifically looking for an 3.5 Harpoon Spanto either XM-18 or Eklipse with NO Choil if that even exists...

First of all, welcome to the Hinderer group. They makes some great knives. I’m partial to the non flippers bowies, slicers and spearpoints in the XM-18 line. Here’s a few of my non flipper XMs.

The Eklipse models are my favorite but that just comes down to personal preference.

DLT trading has some Non Flipper Bowies available now but you could probably save a few bucks and buy a like new model here on the forum without much waiting. They pop up regularly.
