Hinderer Screw inconsistency

I use Stanley and Proxxon torx sets besides of the Wiha kit. I have no problem because one kit's screws always fits tightly.

Not to derail, but I cant fathom the use of t6. These fasteners have giant heads, why the hell would you use t6? I've never had a t8 strip.

Strange several people have found inconsistencies in sizes and I take apart and anodize a ton of these and have never had a problem. Curious were these knives bought brand new? If not are you sure the parts are not parts from the secondary market? I know for a fact at least one person who posted on here 100% has aftermarket screws.

I have found in the past when we used to do anodizing for people who would send their knives in to be anodized that we would have some issues. Most of the time it was either secondary market parts or they had taken them apart with some cheap torx bits. I highly highly recommend Wiha if you are going to mess around with knives. Their bits will save you a lot of headaches, strip screws and weird sizes.

Off topic but do you know if the maximus small scale screws are available anywhere? Got c.f. scales for my od green maximus and think that those tiny scale screws would match if they were black much better. I saw a bunch of clip screws for the xm18...which are small and come in a pack of 10 and are black but not sure if they are the same size as those small maximus scale screws and figured you would know. I've bought several sets off you for some pm2's and 3's but not sure if you sell Maximus hardware...and if the small scale screws are available to you. I would need those small scale screws in black and then the rest of the hardware in bronze including standoff and pivot in bronze and if they make the pivot screw nut piece in bronze. And a clip and filler tab but I can get those separate . Thanks! Will email you same message
