Hinderer VS CRK

I have both and prefer the Hinderer. Stouter knife and I like the flipper option. I hate the thumb stud opening function on my Umnum (Startac).

...For me the closer comparison to the CRKs are the Koenig Knives...

Unlike CRK & Hindies, I've never seen a hard use Koenig. With that said...Koenig makes me drool.

Loving the knife so far! Put in taco ceramic bearings before i even opened it. Nice and smooth and i don't have to worry about the bearings wearing a groove like they did on my 0561!

You probably don't know the answer but I'll still ask. Will the pivot area squeak after replace the factory bearings with the taco bearings IF a groove has already been formed on the ti side? Also, $20 plus $5 shipping for one set of the taco ball bearings are kind of expensive to me. Are these difficult to manufacture?

I believe you can replace the steel bb's in the plastic bearing retainer with ceramic ones, but the ones I bought come with bronze (I believe) retainers and also washers so the new bb's ride on a flat, disposable surface. I bought them because my knife handles won't ever wear a groove now and if you buy those, your grooves won't be an issue because they'll be under the washers. Maybe try buying new washers as a cheap solution? I'd think they would still squeak if the grooves in the titanium have peaks & valleys.
