If you have not heard the news, their warranty is changing. This is the most recent announcement on their site. Obviously I am very excited about this!

3rd Party Anodizing
Posted on August 4, 2016 by Ben Peterman

We have some changes to our warranty and policies coming up regarding aftermarket parts, “pimping”, modifications, etc. A kinder – gentler approach to things that everyone will be pleased with. We will be releasing all the info in the coming days.

First up, anodizing outside of the shop……Go for it, anodizing your knife will not void your warranty. We have never had the time or opportunity to do knives after they have left the shop, and we know that you guys may want to switch things up.

Direct endorsements for anodizing……..I have worked out arrangements with 2 great companies, www.usamadeblade.com and www.houseofblades.comBoth of these companies are authorized Hinderer dealers and do great anodizing work, with super prices and options.

Congats Scott!!!
And yes......Scott and Kevin do excellent anodizing!!!

RHK is good people.

Doesn't make much sense to lose your warranty over anodizing anyway....

Prob the fact the knife must come apart to anodize maybe?

If they're changing their policies towards modifications in general, I hope they won't void the the warranty for say the lock if you got a regrind (since one shouldn't affect the other). If I got a RHK, it would definitely have to be reground.

Wow, Gratz. I'm not a Hinderer guy, but to be officially endorsed by them to do aftermarket anodizing is really cool.

I am not surprised at all that Scott got this gig!! He does amazing work and is one of the very best to deal with!
I bought 3 ZTs from him.....all anodized and they are still perfect after mucho carry and use!!
Here's my 562CF Scott did for me. Ano looks just as good as the day I opened the box!!

There will be a lot more information to come. I do not want to speak for them but lets just say things will be much easier to understand and I think a lot of worries people used to have will be gone. I will update here as they update their warranty!

That's fantastic! Congrats on the endorsement and I'm glad to hear that they're being more reasonable about the warranty.

Too bad they don't have a sub- forum here anymore. It would be nice to hear directly from them regarding such news. Thanks for passing on the information and best of luck in your endeavours.

Its great that RHK embraces that change is good.....especially since their knives last a lifetime!

Thank you ES!!! Excellent little folder made even better by USAmadeblade!!
