Up for sale today is another one from my collection that I'm sad to see go but need to send it to someone that will actually carry it! This is a Gen 4 XM-18 3.5" Spanto grind with full blue hardware, textured carbon fiber scale, and Steel Flame skull filler tab. Also comes with original hardware and an orange G-10 scale. No box is included in this sale. I am not interested in selling individual parts, everything is as a package.
Full disclosure up front: the grind on this knife is quite uneven. It was this way when I bought it from the first owner nearly three years ago, and I imagine it was like that from the factory as it didn't look to have been that badly miss-sharpened when I received it. It doesn't affect the functionality at all, just something to disclose.
Other than that, this knife is in great condition, and the only real sign of wear can be found on the pivot screw, which has some of the blue fading off from my jeans. This knife has been carried but not abused, and has been sitting in my case without being carried for at least a year. It could be a bit sharper, but nothing a few minutes with a stone or a strop won't fix. It flips well for an older Hinderer, but does require the proper technique. The detent is semi-strong, definitely stronger than some older XMs that I've handled.
